Well, hello, hello, Relationship Rock. We are building relationships that last. I am your host, Shirah Chanté, Relationship Artist, healing hearts through the arts and blessing God's people with relationships. So happy. To have you here with me tonight, thank you so much for joining me for wanting to build relationships that last tired of the rollercoaster ride of not so excitement, the emotional rollercoasters up and down, down and up the arguing, the bickering, you want to get rid of relationships like that as much as possible.
There may be a disagreement here and there, but you know, let's keep it loving and peaceful. And the way you're going to do that is by following the principles of God in the Bible. We're building our relationships, found it on the rock, the rock of our salvation, Yeshua the Messiah, Jesus Christ, my love, my heart.
My everything . So welcome. Thank you for joining. And tonight's show is called People in the Street. That's a song that I featured on relationship rock a couple of weeks ago, and I wanna play the bridge tonight. So we're gonna bridge the gap tonight. I'm standing in the gap. Yeah. And it's going to be fun.
And so I'm going to just play a little bit of the song and then we're going to just talk about the words in the song to see how they can inspire us to build our relationship on the rock. That is Jesus Christ. I hope you had a good week. I hope you will have a good week this week and I bless you.
And may the Lord keep you, and may the Lord shine his face upon you, and give you his peace, his perfect peace. Shalom! He said, he whom's eyes are stayed on me, he whom's eyes are stayed on me, he who always has me on his heart, I shall keep him in perfect peace. Perfect peace. and a world full of chaos.
Can you imagine perfect peace in your life? Just keep your eyes stayed on Jesus. All right. Okay. So I'm going to play a little bit of the song and then we're going to talk about the words in the song and see how it's going to help us inspire us tonight. Okay. I'm going to try to get the guitar situated here so that you can still see me.
I want you to still see me, right? So let's see what we can do here. Ah, okay, here we go.
Here we go. Let's see if I can scoot it, scoot back a little bit. Here we go. Let
me grab my pick here.
We were on vacation,
dead bodies in the ocean, little boy got a machine gun. We just want to have some fun, oh, oh, oh. Whoa, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh. There's people in the stream. People in the stream. People in the stream. A big lion has taken over me.
Here's the bridge. Now don't get lazy. Now don't get crazy. Now go get crazy. We just want to have some fun. Uh oh. Uh oh. Uh oh. Uh oh. Uh oh. Uh oh. Uh oh.
People in the street. Let's play it again. People in the street. People in the street. A big lion is taking over me. Now don't get lazy. Now don't get hazy. Now go get crazy. We just want to have some fun. Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh. People in the street. People in the street. People in the
street. A big lion has taken over me. Hey,
Shira, Shantae, praise God. I have a lot of things going over here right now. Y'all just don't know. Okay. I have a lot of things going on. So I got through that. Okay. So, okay. A big lion has taken over me. It's anyone? Is anyone saying that tonight? Is anyone saying, Hey, I can't do it.
There's a big lion in the road. Oh, I can't do what you're asking me to do, Lord. You see that big lion? You see him with that big mane like Shira Shante's hair? It's like, yeah. And he has those big old teeth. And if I go out in those streets, he's gonna bite me. He's gonna chew me up. He's gonna eat me for dinner.
Is anybody saying that tonight?
Well, let me tell you what Proverbs says about that lion in the street. Okay, so we're going to look at Proverbs chapter 26 verse 13 and it says, The lazy man says, There is a lion in the road. A fierce lion is in the streets. As a door turns on its hinges, so does the lazy man on his bed. The lazy man buries his hand in the bowl.
It worries him to bring it back to his mouth.
The lazy man is wiser in his own eyes than seven men who can answer sensibly. Are you a lazy man? Come on, be honest. Are you saying there's a lion in the street? That's why I wrote that. That's why I said, now don't get lazy.
Now don't get hazy. Now go get crazy. We just want to have some fun. You gotta get crazy. Not lazy. Go get, go out there, do it. Do what you gotta do. Do what God is telling you to do. Get crazy about it. Get some energy going. Get up in the morning. Get going. There's no lion in the street who's going to get you.
And even if there was, let's just say there was, hypothetically, there was a lion in the street. Shira Chante, that's why I couldn't go do what I had to do. Well, you know what the Bible says about the righteous? You thought you were going to get away, didn't you? You thought you were going to get away with that excuse.
No, no, no, no, no. The Bible says in Proverbs chapter 28, verse 1, the wicked flee when no one pursues, but the righteous flee. The righteous are bold as a lion. The righteous are as bold as a lion. So you can't make an excuse about a lion being in the street. Well, if there is a lion in the street, I guess we about to fight.
Because I'm a lion too. Because I'm righteous and I'm bold as a lion. Woof, woof, woof, woof, woof. Or is that
I got to work on my roar. Okay. I got to work on that. So I'm here to encourage you tonight to be strong, to be bold as a lion, to stop making excuses about your life and just do what you got to do, man. You don't want to be like that lazy man, the alarm clock going off and you, oh, I'm going to put it on snooze.
I'm a snooze it, I'm a snooze it, five or ten more minutes I'm a turn around in my bed. No! When that alarm clock goes off, get up! I'm thinking to myself too. Get up! Get up and go! I have another song called, Get Over It. Get over it, get up and go. Maybe I'll bring that up next time. This is your comeback, didn't you know?
This is not time to give up. This is not time to stop. We just beginning here. This is still the beginning of 2025. We're putting the plow to the ground, putting our hands to the plow. Yeah, there we go. And we are going to work it out for God, for Jesus. To do that thing which he wants us to do. There are some things that have to happen on the earth before he returns.
And we are a part of that. We are an intricate part of his plan to renew this earth. Did you know we're going to have a new heaven and a new earth? Yes! Way better than this one because this one, we making it on this earth, but
I would rather have a new one. I like brand new. You like brand new stuff. Okay. So you're going to like the new earth, but you gotta do what you gotta do. Don't be this lazy man saying there's a lion in the road. No, no, there's no lion. You're the lion. You should be the lion in the road. The righteous are as bold as a lion.
All right. Okay. Okay. I think you got the picture. I think you got the picture. You got it. Okay.
So there's people in the street. They need you. They need me. They need us to do what we got to do for Jesus. Lord, and I pray that you will get up out of that bed. Don't turn over in those covers. I know it feels good, but it'll be there the next night. Get up and do what you need to do. Get it done. Ask the Lord to help you to send you to help you need to get it done.
And I pray it gets done in Jesus name for you for me and for all God's children. Lord, just put an extra. Level of grace upon our life to complete the tasks to set goals and to accomplish them in this day and age, to cook, to fulfill your will and to complete what it is you have us to do on earth, to complete our destiny here.
Father, God. In Jesus name, I pray. All right, I'm getting some energy. Y'all get some energy out there. So I'm going to play a little bit more, grab my guitar here. Hopefully I can get it done. Okay. This may work a little bit better. I was having a little, some technical issues over here. All right.
Okay.
We were on vacation, but dead bodies in the ocean. Little boy got a machine gun. We just want to have some fun. Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh. oh There's people in the street there's people in the street and they need you
People in the streets, a big lion is taking over me.
Now don't get lazy. Now don't get hazy. Now go get crazy. We just want to have some fun. Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh.
People in the street. People in the street. People in the street. A big lion has taken over me. The lion of the tribe of Judah has taken over me. Has he taken over you? Have you given your life to Jesus? If you haven't, you can. You can give your life to him. And he can change your whole world. From darkness to light.
Just say, Jesus, I believe in you. I believe you died for me. I believe you rose again. I believe you're coming back.
Forgive me of my sins. Cleanse me from all unrighteousness and let me live for you, Lord. I want to live for you from now on. No more excuses, Lord. I'm not going to complain about a line in the street. I'm not going to turn in my bed when the alarm clock goes out. I'm going to get up and work for you, Lord.
I'm not a lazy man. Not no more. In Jesus name I pray, Amen, thank God. And thank you for joining me. If you need help, I am here to help you. I'll put a link in the description if you need help with getting going. If you need help with your spirituality, uh, you can, I have a breakthrough call. It's totally free.
You can get on a call with me. And we'll have some fun talking about what it is that you want. Okay. So the link will be in a description, subscribe to this podcast. Okay. I'll, I'll keep playing the guitar. Okay. I'll, I'll, I'll, I'll get it. I'll get better and I'll get, I'll get it all straightened out for you and some new songs.
So many songs I want to play for you. And remember to love God, love you and love. People, I love you and God loves you. Amen. Bye bye.
